Many members of the community in upper Swaledale and Arkengarthdale have supported the Christians Together in Swaledale advent project, knitting a host of little angels. 199 were blessed at the Advent Service, held this year at Low Row URC. They are now finding their way to public buildings along the dale where they will wait for members of the public to pick them up and take them home. As people rush around at such a busy time of the year they are being given as a gift of love and as a reminder of the 'reason for the season', the birth of Jesus.
They will become a part of a larger host winging its way across the country. Last year 20,000+ were given away.
