Hello, my name is Melanie and I am delighted to have the opportunity of exploring the North Yorkshire Dales as I seek to serve the good folk of the Circuit. My husband, Paul, and I were both born and bred in Cornwall but have lived in numerous places (19 at the last count), both home and abroad, firstly due to his 22-year career in the Royal Navy and latterly due to my service as a Methodist Minister, including my time as a commissioned Chaplain in the Royal Air Force. We have three grown up children, Crystal, Rebecca and Toby. Our shared hobbies include walking our dog Roly (especially in God's beautiful countryside), working out in the gym, watching 'Bargain Hunt' and following the Premiership Rugby with all the associated armchair commentary! I have a deep love of Celtic Christianity with a particular draw towards Holy Island on Lindisfarne, which is, in my experience, a truly 'magical' place. My ministry has always been about people, for I believe wholeheartedly that church can, and must be, a place where all, regardless of who they are or where they have come from, can know and feel, that they are loved, valued, included and unique.
