Save Dubs

Please email your MP and convince them to save the Dubs scheme on Tuesday.

Back in February 2017 in a joint letter to the Home Secretary, the leaders of five Churches expressed their concern at the Government's intention to suspend the programme for the safe re-settlement of unaccompanied minors seeking refuge in the United Kingdom. This is commonly known as the 'Dubs' scheme after Sir Alf Dubs.

In a non-binding largely symbolic vote on Wednesday 1 March MPs voted in favour of keeping the scheme open. Whilst a good test of how Parliament feels more needs doing.

This Tuesday 7 March a cross party group of MPs are taking a new amendment to Parliament and if successful it will force Government to re-consult Local Authorities and identify further capacity to help children through the Dubs scheme.

Lord Alf Dubs says "This is our chance to put Britain back on the right side of history..."

We need to make sure that all the MPs who have spoken up — in debates, on social media, in speeches and at the ballot today — come together and vote to save the Dubs scheme on Tuesday.

Please email your MP and convince them to save the Dubs scheme on Tuesday.

We in the Dales joined with Christians all over the world and throughout the last two...

Eastertingle During the last week of term as Easter approached the schools tingled with excitement as they took part in 'Eastertingle'. A team of volunteers led by Rev Janet Park engaged the children in the dramatic re-enactment of Holy Week. Here is a superb write up of events by one child who will be suitably acknowledged once permission has been received. The item appeared initially...

As part of 'Thy Kingdom Come' this circuit has pledged to pray for 24 hours on Thursday 25 May. We can pray as individuals, families, small groups or as a church or churches together. How we pray and for how long is up to us. What are we praying for? We are praying that our friends, family and neighbours come to know Christ and experience his love for them in their lives. For more...
