Friday 21st October; Reeth Community and Gunnerside Methodist Schools welcomed the local MP, Rishi Sunak, to open the Early Years classroom. During the summer holidays the nursery was completely gutted and along with the outside area was re-configured to make it a more practical and brighter place for the children and teachers. Parents, pupils from the Early Years Foundation Stage, staff and Governers were present to see Rishi cut a ribbon at the doorway and he was joined by two pupils to cut a cake made by one of the parents. Lunch was enjoyed by all after the ceremony.
